Part of a collection of photographs taken by Robert (Bob) Leitch in the 1920s of Cheshire, whilst cycling with Rover Scouts. His cycling companions included William (Bill) Lloyd and Harold Litherland. Rover Scouting is the final stage in the Scouts’ Association, after Beavering, Wolf Cubbing, Scouting and Senior Scouting.
Chester Cathedral is a Church of England cathedral and the mother church of the Diocese of Chester. It is a Grade I listed building, and part of a heritage site that also includes the former monastic buildings to the north. Since 1541 it has been the seat of the Bishop of Chester.
